It is the succeeding part to the 2011 computer-full of spirit pellicle Rio and the workshop's first pellicle to have a succeeding part outside of their existing Ice Age right. Story :

Blu, Precious stone and their three kids allowance their domesticated life in the incorporated town of Rio de Janeiro for a expedition to the Amazon rainforest, where their owners Linda and Tulio were doing an alertness that in appearance found a secret sept of Spix's Macaws. On their way there, they are witnessed in Manaus by Blu and Precious stone's old nemesis Nigel the cockatoo, who then decides to try to find requite on the macaws, enlisting pest let fly frog Gabi and tamandua Charlie as his minions. Upon arriving the Amazon, the parents and children comes across Precious stone's drawn out-missing male parent, Eduardo, who is in hiding with his macaw sept. As Blu has agitate fitting in, Nigel infiltrates the sept, and unlawful loggers run off with Linda and Tulio on their way to stretch the macaws' hideout.
